Justin Warabino is the founder of Kaede Creatives and a Toronto-born filmmaker who discovered his passion for visual storytelling during a year-long solo backpacking trip across Southeast Asia in 2016. Starting his career as a photographer in 2017, he transitioned into videography in 2019. In 2020, Justin relocated to Tokyo, Japan, where he has since been producing dynamic video content for tourism boards, social media campaigns, and global brands. His recent work includes collaborations with NBA Japan, Nara Prefecture, and other prominent international brands.
Kent Kitagawa is a Toronto native and partner at Kaede Creatives. After completing his studies, Kent moved to Japan in 2018, initially teaching English to children in Hokkaido. In 2020, he relocated to Tokyo, transitioning into a career in finance, where he met Justin Warabino. Despite their different career paths, Kent and Justin began collaborating, with Kent taking on a crucial role as a producer, managing the backend operations of Kaede Creatives.
Ryu Tsukata is an Osaka-born photographer currently based in Tokyo and a key team member at Kaede Creatives. He met Justin Warabino in 2018 while on a working holiday in Toronto, where his passion for photography ignited after modeling for one of Justin’s school projects. Since then, Ryu has honed his craft, becoming an expert in fashion, brand, and event photography. His work has been featured by many internationally renowned brands, showcasing his talent and eye for detail.
